Title: Accessibility Testing Fundamentals
Abstract:
The power of the web is in its universality. Access by everyone regardless of disability is an essential aspect – Tim Berners Lee
Accessibility Testing is gaining significant traction with many clients. There are many reasons for this. The significance associated with it and the pivotal experience that we seek to provide to clients remains solely in our hands As we roll out new features or products, we should ask whether these kinds of products are accessible - that is, if this type of product is accessible by people from all walks of life or if it is only for a specific set of people. It is important to develop products or solutions that can be used by both normal users and disabled individuals throughout society increasing its accessibility is beneficial to individuals as well as businesses and the society a whole. No matter what language they speak, what location they live in or what city they live in, the web is a universal tool that works for everyone. As long as it meets this goal, it is accessible to everyone. Incorporating accessibility into your product has a number of benefits . In terms of business Having an accessible website increases user satisfaction, leads to higher search engine rankings, avoids legal complications, boosts brand awareness, and encourages users to be independent. Other reasons
why we need accessibility include empathy and the law. To avoid these pitfalls whenever we design or develop a product, along with the functional requirements, we should also focus on the non-
functional requirements, which helps us in avoiding the huge legal repercussions.
